Welcome to the SEQUENTIAL FAQ page. The following Frequently Asked Questions refer to the iPad app, which you can download here.

We hope you find the answers to your questions below, but if you need more help please send us an email.

1) HOW DO I RESTORE MISSING BOOKS?
In some cases, usually when you have re-installed the app on a new device, your purchases will not appear in your Library and are not listed in ‘All Purchases’ (in the list on the left). To get your books back, tap on ‘In-App Purchases’ in the list on the left, then tap the ‘Missing Books? Tap Here’ button on the right and follow the steps to make your books ready to download again.

If you used codes to get any of your books, enter the same codes again to get your books back.

2) WHY ARE THE PRICES NOT SHOWING?
If the ‘Buy’ button will not display a price, you may be experiencing a connection problem. Please turn Airplane Mode on and off, or turn your iPad off and on again, which will force a new connection.

3) CAN I READ MY BOOKS ON MORE THAN ONE iPAD?
Yes, you can. If you’ve installed the app on a new iPad, or if you’ve deleted and reinstalled the app, follow the steps in Question 1 above to find the books you have already bought.

4) CAN I SEE A PREVIEW OF A BOOK?
Yes – just tap the cover on any book information screen to enlarge the cover and preview the first few pages.

5) WHAT IF I CAN’T FIND A BOOK I’M LOOKING FOR?
If you’ve heard about a book that’s on SEQUENTIAL but you can’t find it, try quitting the app and re-opening it to refresh the Storefront. You can also search for a specific book, creator, or publisher in the ‘Find Books’ section.

Some books on SEQUENTIAL may not be for sale in all regions of the world due to the publisher’s licensing restrictions. In these cases, the books won’t show up in that region’s Store. We’re sorry if you can’t buy the book you’re looking for – but it might become available in the future.

6) HOW LONG DO THE BOOKS TAKE TO DOWNLOAD?
It depends on your connection speed. A book of average length should take a minute or two to download on a normal connection. If you feel your books are taking a long time to download, check your connection speed.

7) WHY AREN’T MY BOOKS DOWNLOADING?
If you’re having trouble downloading a book, you can tap ‘In-App Purchases’ under ‘All Purchases’, then tap the ‘Missing Books?’ button and follow the steps. Or, if you used codes to get your books, enter the same codes again and follow the steps.  Alternatively, you can terminate the app and try downloading the book later.

8) WHAT IF I RUN OUT OF SPACE?
You can delete any of your books and download them again whenever you like. Please note that some of our books contain quite heavy files (so you may need to check you have a few GB of space on your iPad before you download).

9) WHAT IS PANEL MODE?
SEQUENTIAL uses Panel Mode to let you zoom into each individual panel to see it up close and in perfect high-definition. Double tap on any comics page to enter Panel Mode. You can then swipe left or right to move between panels. Double tap again to zoom back out to Page Mode. You can pinch zoom if you prefer, too.

10) WHAT IS SEQUENTIAL MODE?
Sequential Mode is a different, engaging reading experience. Rather than swiping from one screen across to another, in Sequential Mode you can tap or swipe to see the current image transition to a new image. Look for the Sequential Mode category in the Search & Browse section.

11) CAN I HIDE THE BOTTOM TOOLBAR?
Yes – just tap once on the screen to hide the toolbar and status bar. Tap again to bring them back.

12) CAN I TURN OFF ANIMATIONS?
Yes – go to your iPad’s Settings app and select ‘General’, then turn ‘Reduce Motion’ to ‘On’. (This is only available on iOS 8 and above.)

13) HOW DO I TURN NOTIFICATIONS ON AND OFF?
You can control notifications in your iPad’s main Settings app.

14) CAN I SAVE BOOKS BEFORE I BUY THEM?
Yes – you can add books to your Wishlist if you want to save them for later. Just tap the heart icon in the top right of any book’s main Storefront page to add it to your Wishlist. Tap the heart again to remove it.

You can access your Wishlist any time you like from the options at the top of your Storefront.

15) THE APP ISN’T WORKING.
If you are having problems reading your books, such 
as experiencing slowness or jerkiness in Panel Mode 
or whilst swiping through pages, please make sure 
your iPad is running the latest available version of iOS. You can see if a software update is available in your iPad’s Settings.
